No problem! If you have no refills, please contact the Whitman-Walker pharmacy staff and we will get in touch with your provider for you. We are located in the same facility as your provider and this enables us to communicate rapidly with them affording a quick turn-around time for new refills. Please keep in mind that new refills take anywhere between 1-3 business days, depending on the day you request the refill and the provider’s schedule. We will also coordinate with your provider to obtain a prior authorization with your insurance company should you need one.
Absolutely. We are an open door pharmacy and will fill prescriptions from outside providers. If you have insurance, your co-pay will be the same anywhere. If you pay out-of-pocket, please contact the pharmacy staff to see if that prescription is eligible for the Whitman-Walker discount.
We stock all of the common medications, including all HIV medications as well as hormone preparations. If there is something you need that we don’t have, then we can order it for the next business afternoon. Our pharmacists are highly knowledgeable and stay up to date with the most current HIV treatments. They are available to discuss your prescriptions and answer any questions you may have about them.
We take all major credit cards, cash, and personal checks.
We have a modest selection of over-the-counter meds, including cough and cold, first aid, vitamins, and digestive aids.
